Ryan Curtis first became interested in photography while growing up in Montana's beautiful backcountry, Glacier National Park, with only a pack of disposable cameras. After moving to coastal North Carolina he took up surf photography. Later, he assisted local wedding photographers and gained experience that allowed him to work on weddings solo. While interning, for Logan Mock-Bunting, Ryan founded his passion for commercial photography. Ryan has assisted celebrity photographer Marla Rutherford and done freelance work for Christian Surfers, Eastern Surf Magazine, Surfline.com, Volcom, Yearwood Surfboards, and Zoo York Clothing. Now Ryan is studying at Savannah College of Art and Design.
